Nickel-plated steel blade showing the maker's mark of Alexander Coppel, Solingen. "M 17" stamped on the back of the blade. A small piece of the tip is missing and the "cutting edge" has a few small notches.
Geniue horn handle scales bearing the police emblem. Nickel-plated handle fittings. "S.M.II. 844." and "M 17" stamped. Leather scabbard with nickel fittings. The leather of the scabbard was probably restored as well as signs of age. The bottom fitting has a small dent. "S.M.II. 844." stamped on the back of the top fitting.
