An important photo album to Oberfeldwebel Peter Nikolaus Arent. He served with Pionier-Bataillon 24 and Fallschirmjäger-Regiment 1 and 5. Oberfeldwebel Arent took as Oberjäger part in the attack on Eben-Emael with Sturmgruppe Granit (paratrooper) and was also involved in the Battle of Crete. Awarded the Knight's Cross on 4. December 1942 and the Army Paratrooper Badge. Killed in action on 3. December 1943 near El Bathan, Tunesia.
The album starts with some portrait photos of him and his brother as well as photos of his service as a pioneer. In the further course photos as a paratrooper "Fallschirmjäger". Nice shots of him wearing the Army Paratrooper Badge, green jumping smock, and paratrooper helmet (double decal & camo). Very rare photos of the Fort Eben-Emael. Furthermore two photos of a Luftwaffe Knight's Cross winner, parachute jumps, and of a bunker complex. Total: 178 photos. The cover of the album bears the Luftwaffe eagle and the lettering "Fallschirm-Jäger-Regt. 1".
