Germany 1918 - 1945

Description

Imperial German Navy grouping to Kapitänleutnant Theophil Gautier (1881-1953) serving aboard the Torpedoboot "V 162" and the SMS "Stosch". In WWII he served as Generalleutnant of the Luftwaffe.

Important 13 hand-written war diaries by him. He began his notes on 27. July 1914, which very well documented his service in the First World War. A rare piece of history of a torpedo boat officer.

A framed photo of him and his wife. It shows him as General of the Luftwaffe.

Eight portrait photos of his son Kurt-Theo. One photo also shows his other son Georg. Both served with the Kriegsmarine during WWII. The photos are in a fold-out picture frame.

Book "Chronik des Seeoffizier-Jahrgangs 1908". The first page comes with a hand-written dedication by Kapitänleutnant Hermann Menzel, U-Boot commander during WWI. Dated "1928".

Logbook of the SMS "Stosch" from June 1899 until March 1900.

A photo of the Battle of Jutland ("Skagerrakschlacht"). Dated "31. May 1916".

"Gedenktafel der III. Torpedoboots-Flottille". It shows the names of the fallen soliders of the III. Torpedoboots-Flottille.

Signs of use. Hard to find!
