Description

The coin is made from sterling silver to commemorate the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin, by K. Roth. It is stamped on the edge: "BAYER. HAUPTMÜNZAMT.FEINSILBER". The obverse reads: "ZUR EHRE DES VATERLANDES - ZUM RUHME DES SPORTS" and shows Victory holding a palm branch and a crown in her hands. The reverse reads: "OLYMPISCHE. SPIELE. BERLIN. MCMXXXVI" and shows a large bell, Olympic rings and national eagle and swastika. In original slightly damaged white cardboard box.
