Luftwaffe grouping to Feldwebel Josef Schmid serving with Luftnachrichten-Regiment 23 and Fallschirm-Panzerjäger-Abteilung 4.

Certificates

Certificates to Sudetenland Medal 1938, Gold Cord to the Luftwaffe Personnel Trade Badge for Motorized Troops, and East Medal.

Certificate to Wound Badge in Black. Issued on 28.09.1944. Field mail number L 55957 (= Fallschirm-Panzerjäger-Abteilung 4). Hand-signed by a Stabsarzt.

Each certificate has two holes and the swastikas have been painted over. 

Badges

Luftwaffe Paratrooper Badge, cloth type. Machine-embroidered. Field grey cloth backing. Also, a pin was placed on the back. Please take a look at his portrait photo. He wears exactly this badge on his chest. A very interesting piece!

East Medal with the original ribbon.

Sudetenland Medal with the original ribbon.

Photos

An excellent portrait photo of him in the tropical tunic. He is wearing the Luftwaffe Paratrooper Badge (cloth type). Postcard size.

Three Luftwaffe photo albums with a total of 272 photos. The photos were taken during his service with Luftnachrichten-Regiment 23. These show his military training, the launch of a Stuka aircraft, foreign tanks, downed aircraft, and photos from the front. One photo shows the date "Christmas Russia 1941". Among them are also portrait photos and hand-written notes of the Feldwebel. Some photos were taken from the albums and the swastikas on the covers have been removed.
