An impressive Ethiopian sabre, made by the German manufacturer Hörster from Solingen. The sabre comes with a curved blade with excellent gold-plated etchings on a blued background on both sides. Gold-plated hilt (brass and iron) with lion's head pommel. Black finished grip with wire wrapping. The front langet bears the coat of arms of the country. Missing scabbard.
