A French interpretation of the very rare General Honor Decoration 1st Class in it’s 1st form. Avers with “Verdienste um den Staat”, reverse the king’s cypher. The cross is made from silver and enamel with real golden medallions. The cross must have been issued and made during the time when it morphed the 4th class of the Red Eagle Order. The descriptions during those times often times did not have images, so that a jeweler in a foreign country had to craft decorations as best as they could.
