A rare document group to a SS Unterschrführer serving initially in the KZ Oranienburg and later as part of the Commandos of the SS Totenkopfdivision.

Award document for the Sudetenland annexation Medal issued May 4, 1939, facsimile signature Meissner and embossed seal.
Award document for the War Merit Cross 2nd Class with Swords, 1939, on August 30, 1941. Facsimile signature von Brauchitsch and original ink signature SS-Brigadeführer

Oranienburg was an early Nazi concentration camp, one of the first detention facilities established by the Nazis in the state of Prussia when they gained power in 1933. It held the political opponents of the Nazi Party from the Berlin region.
