Heer splinter camo blouse - Hauptmann
Description
Unique WWII period time Heer camo blouse for a Hauptmann tailored from splinter camo fabric.
The blouse was made from camo cloth usually used to make Paratrooper jumping smocks around 1944. The two RAPID marked zippers (fully working) are also typical paratrooper jumping smock ones. Two late war sleeve rank badges (so-called Oberarmdienstgradabzeichen) for an SS-Obersturmführer (printed pattern) are attached to both sleeves. Both badges are originally hand attached.
Typical cotton lining which was however contructed from various small bits. Typical for late war gain of material.
Clear traces of a removed breast eagle visible. The eagle was zick-zack attached once.
A 100% field tailored blouse as ordered by an officer. No postwar fantasy construction!
Very nice condition. Minor signs of wear.
