Very important imperial WW1 grouping to "Linienkommandeur Lüttich" and later commander of Armee-Funkerabteilung of the 8. Armee, Hauptmann Richard Kuhlmann.
Impressive 7-place medal bar. Third Reich period time mounted including his WW1 awards. No damage to any of the awards. Good condition 2. One matching ribbon bar of his earlier time containing 6 ribbons as well as one totally matching one containing 7 ribbons. A stunning miniature chain with all of his 16mm miniatures. High quality examples without any damage.
Another highlight of this grouping certainly is his 1914 Iron Cross 1st Class in case of issue. It is a great "KO" maker marked cross with a period time engraving "Hauptmann Kuhlmann". Furthermore the catch was period time upgraded with an extra closure. A unique piece of Iron Cross history in my eyes!
In comes in a nicely matching brown case of issue. Opening and closing correctly. Minor signs of age to the paper Iron Cross sticked to the top. Inside is an original piece of the outer cardboard box "Nur von dem Beliehenem zu öffnen". Named.
His document are more than just documents. They are an archive on a commanding officer at Lüttich as well as a treasure trove of local history. Documents like this only exist once and could have only been kept by a commander like Kuhlmann. They are unique!
Correspondence with the local government, many document related to the local German court in Lüttich "Deutsches Kommandanturgericht Lüttich", " Kaiserlich Deutsche Gouvernement Lüttich", document related to other town in the area, Feldpost letters, maps with tactical details on his unit being based in that area, document related Belgian POWs etc.. A massive grouping with hundreds of documents. We did not even touch the surface when describing.

- Confirmation of the award of the "Herzoglich Braunschweigische Kriegsverdienstkreuz"
- Certificate of appointment "Kommandeur Armee-Funkerabteilung bei achter Armee"
- Certificate to the 1914 Iron Cross 1st Class. Issued on 22.11.18 by A.O.K.5
- Confirmation of the award of the Hamburg Hanseatic Cross which was sent home
- June 1939 "Oberpostrat" promotion document. 4 pages. Not folded.

- March 1922 "Postrat" promotion document. slightly cut.
