Extremely rare grouping to later Generalmajor Heinz Brandt serving as a General Staff Officer in the Army High Command "OKH". Brandt was also a member of the German show-jumping team at the Berlin Summer Olympics 1936, which won the Gold Medal. He was mortally wounded in the assassination attempt on Adolf Hitler on 20. July 1944. He died one day later in the Rastenburg military hospital.

The top shows the Olympic Stadium Berlin, the Brandenburg Gate, and the Olympic rings as well as the inscription "ZUR EHRE DES VAERLANDES ZUM RUHME DES SPORTS". Below is the text "XI. OLYMPIADE BERLIN 1936 - EHRENURKUNDE - DEUTSCHLAND SIEGER JAGDSRINGEN (typing error) / PREIS DER NATIONEN". Facsimile signatures by Dr. Theodor Lewald, President of the Organizing Committee, and Baillet-Latour, IOC President. Between them are the Olympic rings. Desinged by Prof. Ernst Böhm and printed by Erasmusdruck GMBH Berlin. Beautiful gold print background. In its original presentation folder. The front shows the gilt Olympic rings and the inscription "XI. OLYMPIADE BERLIN 1936". Slight signs of use and the cover sheet inside have a crack.
