Beschreibung
BESCHREIBUNG ANSEHEN

A nice grouping to SS-Rottenführer Georg Schaffner serving with SS-Gebirgsjäger-Regiment 7. Part of the SS-Gebirgsdivision "NORD". 

Certificate to East Medal. Issued on 20. July 1942. Hand-signed by Standartenführer Franz Schreiber, Knight's Cross winner. Two holes and folded once.

Photo album with 152 photos. The album was created after the war by Georg Schaffner himself with his original wartime photos. It documents the service of the SS-Regiment in Norway and Finland. Nice photos of the shelters (camps) in the woods, camouflage clothing, graves of the fallen SS soldiers, the vehicles of the unit, and a nice portrait photo of him on the first page. Also hand-written notes by the veteran. 

Book "Kampf unter dem Nordlich". Published by Franz Schreiber in 1969. 448 pages.
