Kriegsmarine photo album to Olt. Georg Gautier serving as 1.WO on U-617. Excellent photographs of the submarine and the crew. Before serving on a submarine, he was on a warship. The album starts with nice shots from that time. There are also photos of his father Generalleutnant of the Luftwaffe Theophil Gautier and his brother Kurt-Theo. He also served as an officer with the Kriegsmarine.
The other album shows the Kriegsmarine service of his brother Kurt-Theo on board the SMS "Schlesien" on a voyage abroad from 1937 to 1938. Nice photos of the officers, the ship, his basic military training, and excellent shots of tropical regions.
