Rare photo album of a SS soldier serving with a reconditioning unit of SS-Division "Das Reich" starting as a member of SS-Standarte Deutschland. One sign says "Kfz Inst.Part 524".
"Meine Dienstzeit" as well as a metal helmet to the cover.

The album shows the hand-written motto "Meine Ehre heisst Treue" to the inside cover and starts with a photo of Felix Steiner. The photos shows the note "Regts. Kommandeur Steiner" to the reverse.

Most photos show SS members in their early SS-VT uniform with "Deutschland" cuff title and a number "1" collar tab. There are quite a few plane tree camo smocks and helmet covers shown as well!

The first photos are taken during the Poland campaign. One pictures shows soldiers standing around a bord with lettering "Ostfront, 25. Sept. 1939". Most of the photos however seem to have been taken during the France campaign.

There are many vehicles, motorcycles and tanks shown on the photos. Two photos show a German "Bison" Panzerjäger tank with German signs on it.
