A very interesting visor cap for a Kriegsmarine civil servant. It was made in France by a tailor from Brest. Brest was a famous uboat base (Stützpunkt für U-Boote) so it might well be that this cap was worn by a officer serving for one of those "U-Boot-Flottille".
The silver wreath badge is attached by hand. The cap eagle is from zinc and from very poor quality. Maybe made in France?
The cap comes with a black silk lining. The celluloid diamond is still intact.
Maker's mark: "Lebtreton" from Brest.
Some moth damage mainly to the bottom of the cap.
Removable top!n A white plastic cord was added around the cap band to give the cap a nice shape. It can easily be removed.
