Late war die-cast solid zinc General Assault Badge. Made by the Lüdenscheid based company Assmann & Söhne and properly marked on the reverse with the company's logo. Wreath marked "2" specifying the die this example came out. Most finish is gone with traces of the bronze base coating still visible.
