A high-quality presentation sword of the Hörster company which was manufactured in the first half of the 20th century. The Venezuelan president, who died in 2013, had numerous replicas of the Bolivar sword made during his time in office, which he presented to statesmen as gifts.

Elaborately crafted handle with numerous artificial diamonds. Damaged pommel. The hat with the crown came off. A fine brass scabbard with full original gilding left. Fine floral ornaments to the obverse.

Excellent blued background to the blade which comes with fine gilt ornaments as well as the inscription "SIMON BOLIVAR - UNION J LIVERTAD ANO DE 1825". The other side shows the same ornaments and the inscription "LIVERTADOR DE COLOMBA Y DEL PERU - CHUNGAPOMA ME FECIT EN LIMA".
