Geb.Jäg.Rgt.138 Narvik Shield grouping

Beschreibung
Grouping to Sanitäts-Stabsgefreiter Heinrich Eckramer serving with Gebirgsjäger-Regiment 1938 in Norway. Eckramer was awarded the Narvik Shield.

Part of the grouping is fantastic photo album. This must contain the best photos we have ever had taken in during the Norway Campaign. 101 photographes including a photo of Dietl wearing the Knight's Cross. One photo shows the grave of the Fallschirmjäger Wilhelm Zentgraf. Zentgraf is now buried in Narvik. We know his exact grave position. Nice cover with a Heer cap eagle and Edelweiss badge attached.

Certificate to the Narvik Shield. A fine example showing a picture of the actual shield. Signed by General Dietl. Issued to Eckkramer on 10.11.1940. These becoming very rare now! Folded twice.

Certificate to the Iron Cross 2nd Class. Issued on 5.12.1942 and signed by Generalleutnant Scherer (famous for the Cholm pocket). Folded once.

Nice certificate to the Infantry Assault Badge in silver. Issued on 1.11.1941 and signed by the regiment commander of Geb.Jäg.Rgt.138 Oberst Klatt (Knight's Cross with Oak leaves). Folded twice.

Certificates to the Wound Badge in black and silver. Three insures. Issued in November 1941 and September 1944. Both folded. The Wound Badge in black citation is signed by German Cross in gold recipient Hauptmann Josef Renner (14.4.1942), his battalion commander.

A real Edelweiss flower which the family must have kept to remember him. Furthermore this original aluminum dog tag which comes with the matching leather bag. The dog tag shows his unit 3./G.J.R.138. Both were kept in an old Red Cross metal case.

Wehrstammbuch:
The Wehrstammbuch is the best source of research you can think of. It literately contains all information on his service time you can think of. For example there is long list of all his battles and campaigns from November 1939 until December 1942. It also provides a lit of his awards: Narvik Shield, Wound Badge in black, Assault Badge, Iron Cross 2nd Class and Wound Badge in silver.
It also contains a lot of medical documents as well as postwar documents.

A great grouping and a must have for every Narvik or Geb.Jäg.Rgt.138 collector.
