Deutsches Reich 1918 - 1945
Dokumentengruppe Kriegsverdienstkreuze 1. und 2. Klasse an einen WWI Piloten

Beschreibung

Very comprehensive document group of Friedrich Wilhelm Kaiser. He worked all his life in the rubber industry, predominantly with Gummi Hansen in Hanover.

The group not only contains his award documents for his medals and a few very interesting photos of him wearing them, but also a award document for the German cross in silver.

The German cross document was classified as a forgery by various experts. The silver imprint of his rank and name seem to have never existed. All documents, no matter if for the German Cross in Gold or Silver were either typed by typewriter, calligraphicaly filled in or printed in red.

The fact that the award date is heavily displaced is a further hint for this being done after WWII.

Besides, Kaiser is not mentioned in any literature as a lawful recipient of the German Cross in Silver. However, he rank and position makes him fully qualified for this prestigious award.

A fantastic group of a retired WWI fighter pilot and in charge of a very important office during WWII.

Friedrich Wilhelm Kaiser served as a pilot during the First War and was awarded the Iron Cross 1st Class. After the war Kaiser took a job at Hansen's rubber company, founded by the brother of his father-in-law. In early 1936 he joined the newly founded Luftwaffe, although the possibility exists that he had already worked for them during the secret rebuilding. During the Second War, Kaiser was at some point stationed in occupied France. He served in the rank of Captain for the Wehrersatzinspektion (Armed Forces Replacement Inspectorate) Hanover in May of 1940, yet the starting and ending date of this deployment are unknown. He was in the rank of Major of the Reserve in April of 1941 and was promoted to Oberstleutnant der Reserve the 1st August 1942. During the summer of 1943 Kaiser served as an instructor at the Wehrmachtreifenstelle (Armed Forces Tire Centre) training camp in Berlin-Staaken. After the war Kaiser returned to his work for Hansen's rubber company.
