Description

Generalleutnant of the Luftwaffe Martin Harlinghausen served as commander of the "Seeflieger" (seaplane squadron) on Mallorca during the Spanish Civil War (Legion Condor). For his service, he was awarded the Spanish Cross in Gold with Diamonds. During World War II, he served as Geschwaderkommodore of Kampfgeschwader 26 and was also involved in the campaign in Africa. In the last two years of the war, Harlinghausen commanded the II. Fliegerkorps in the Mediterranean and Luftwaffenkommando West.

Fine silver case of Generalleutnant Martin Harlinghausen. It was a personal gift from Generalísimo Francisco Franco. Made of real silver. Hallmarked inside (Spanish manufacturing). Engraved on the front "EL PARDO 13.VI.1953" and inside "EL PADRO - 13.VI.1953 AL GENERAL D. MARTIN HARLINGHAUSEN + Franco's facsimile signature". The top of the case bears the personal monogram of Franco.

The clip was finished with four emeralds.
