Description
Very interest grouiping to Maschinenobergefreiter Ewald Martens. Martens served with 11.U-Boot-Jagdflottille on U-Bootjäger 1102 from 1942 until 1943 in Norway.

Certificate to the Iron Cross 2nd Class. "Bergen" issued on 23.4.1944. "Amiral der Westküste Norwegen" stamped. Ink signature of Admiral Schräder (Knight's Cross). Folded once. Two holes. Rust stains.

Certificate to the Minesweeper War Badge. Nice unusual variant. "Tromsö" issued on 20.2.1943. Original ink signature of Konteradmiral Heinz Nordmann. Folded once. Two holes.

Certificate to the Wound Badge in black. Issued on 11.3.1944. Signed by Korvettenkapitän Erich Schütt (German Cross in gold). Not folded. Two holes.

Two more documents. One on his injury in 1944 when lying in the Aalesund hospital.

A beautifully set-up photo album documenting his time on 1102. A gorgeous painted on the inner cover with the emblem of his unit. Roughly 157 photos in total. Fantastic hand painted front cover. Swastika removed but still visible.

Not only a fantastic grouping but also a great document on the Norway Campaign.
